Mejja recalled how during the peak of the gospel industry, moved by the Holy Spirit he wanted to sing a song for the Lord. He shared that when he approached a certain gospel artist back then for a collabo, the said artist whose name he opted to conceal turned his offer down because he couldn' t raise sh300, 000.
" I remember when the gospel industry was flying high and I wanted to do a gospel song to praise God. When I approached this artiste, he asked for Sh150, 000 as a commitment fee and Sh150, 000 more for recording the song and other incidentals, " he said.
On life, he shared his life experiences and the struggles he faced while growing up. Mejja revealed that his father walked away from them, a move that forced his mother to work hard so that they could have a comfortable life.
The daily struggles and life inspirations that he drew from his mother who raised him and his two brothers single- handedly taught him a lot.
Despite the challenges which came his way, the Siskii hit star boasts of successful music career having produced top hits within the music space.
