Earlier last week celebrated media personality Edith Kimani rose the eyebrows of many, after she announced that she was looking for a 'mubaba' (sponsor).

This was via her insta stories where she even openly asked her followers for help to look for one.

At the time the sassy DW presenter revealed that it should be someone who is financing someone else's lifestyle, and didn't necessarily have to be married for that matter.

"I need your help!!!! looking for that mubaba"

"Someone who you would describe as a 'sponsor' or 'mubaba' - or who is aligned to the lifestyle and is happy to finance it; even if they are not currently doing it. They don't necessarily have to be married".

This is because she wanted to probably interview them, because she made it clear that it should be someone who is willing to speak on camera.

"Catch is; they have to be willing to talk to me on camera for broadcast".

However earlier today Edith Kimani gave netizens an update on the search, and revealed that she has not yet gotten the 'mubaba'.

She further disclosed that she had received many DMs from men offering to be her sponsor, and also some women asking for the contacts of the men that had forwarded their names to her.

In her response however, Edith Kimani told off all of them and asked them to check again what she was asking for.

"And quick update on the mubabas, the search for mubabas, I'm still searching. Nyinyi watu mko kwa DMs half of you are asking me to send you the applicants, and half of you are offering your services as a mubaba to me, please someni fine print!" She said.
