Slum Twins Share Painful Story About Their Life, Pleads With DP Ruto To Help Them Get Back To School

Slum twins from the sprawling slums of Mukuru Kwa Njenga based in Nairobi have shared a painful story about their life at the slums pleading with Deputy President William Ruto to intervene and help them.

41-year-old Patrick Nyongesa[father] of the twin has narrated how his life and that of his family took a different dimension seeking help from Deputy President William Ruto as well as well-wishers.

According to Patrick Nyongesa, he says he used to work as a mason in Mlolongo area before he got seriously injured while at work, extending that since he was maimed, life became difficult for him to manage his family of four not forgetting the harsh environment in the slums of Mukuru Kwa Njenga.

As the situation got worse, his wife Elizabeth Akinyi left him for another man. Nyongesa has stated that from then he has been surviving through friends and well-wishers.

Speaking to his twin girls Brenda Nyongesa and Belinda Nyongesa aged 13 and who stand strong with his father, they have narrated their painful story of how they have been struggling since what happened to their father.

The two girls have said that they attended Lumbo Primary School which was a private school within the slums but due to the biting effects of the coronavirus pandemic, it wound up.

Since then March 2020 Brenda and Belinda have not set foot in any class.

"When we met him at Glorious Gospel Church in Mukuru with Pastor Mang'eti, Mr Nyongesa said that he had taken his twin daughters to Kwa Njenga Primary School but he was turned away as he could not afford the Kshs. 5,000 requested as registration and fee for each of the girls," Chairman Oasis of Hope Mr Asera Ambuche has explained.

Mzee Nyongesa and his two daughters Brenda and Belinda are now appealing to His Excellency Deputy President William Ruto as well as well-wishers to assist them, including his twin girls, get enrolled at Kwa Njenga primary school as they have lost a lot.

Patrick Nyongesa[father] of the twins have also shared his contact 07-1264-7803 hoping that somebody will lend his family a hand if not reaching the Deputy President.
