His real name is Major Name ya Khadija. He is the son to Khadija the same way he points it out in one of his songs. "Mtoto wa Khadija. "He is a member of Nyeri county.
Even though mtoto wa Khadija has a beautiful daughter, he does not have or stay with the mother of the child. This is because his so called girlfriend dumped her few years ago through a text message.
This was a real blow to Mejja's life. He suffered depression for a long period of time to an extent of taking his own life. The mother went and he was left with the child. Despite all these, his life had to move on and with time he found the love of his life who he call his love and wife.
