Kenyan socialite Shakilla has criticized Eric Omondi for refusing to pay her and using her to make money for himself.

During an Instagram Live, Shakilla stated that Eric Omondi thought his show would go mainstream if she was on and he called her whenever he needed to pursue his influence. However, the comedian did not respond to those efforts and he would turn off her phone or refuse to answer her calls when she needed to be paid.

"Eric took advantage of me in many ways. He didn't pay me or anyone during the women's content show and was biased and unfair in choosing the winner. Eric uses people. You can't pretend you're supporting artists and not paying creators."The social networking site added that she had to create drama when filming documentaries about women to gain a social media presence.

"I realized that if I wasn't getting any monetary value from the gig, I'd be better off garnering a social media presence from it."
