Excited Meru residents escorted Ruto as he slowly made his way at Makutano in Meru town where he was scheduled to address the residents.
As the residents were dancing to the music that was playing, Ruto’s bodyguards tried to remove the residents who were in front of the car so that his convoy can pass.
Some of the residents were jumping in front of Ruto’s car forcing his driver to stop while the DP was busy waving and shaking the hands of the residents from the top of his vehicle.
Some of the residents who were standing on the roadside poured in the middle of the road to dance in front of Ruto’s vehicle oblivious of their safety.
DP Ruto’s bodyguards were given a hard time trying to control the excited crowd as every time the vehicle moved after they give way, another person jumps in front of the vehicle forcing the driver to stop.
One of the area residents jumped in front of the vehicle and signaled the driver to stop and he didn’t give way as the cameraman who was in another vehicle in front of Ruto’s car filming what was going on is heard shouting asking the man to give way.
Other residents quickly surrounded the car and the DP picked his microphone to address the crowd and the car stopped as Ruto addressed the residents.
