Mwangi claims that in 2009 as he was going to work where he used to work as a driver him and the conductor were attacked by thugs and after torturing them they threw them into river yala on the way to Busia.
He claims that his spinal cord was badly injured that he could not move the good Samaritan who helped them to the hospital and after treatment the doctor told him that he might not walk again.
Mwangi claims that since then his wife has been the sole breadwinner a task that take tolls on her because everyone depends on her in the house including health and his needs.
Mwangi's wife has vowed never to live her husband and will always support him because she know one day he will walk again.
Mwangi says that the love and support gives him hopes that one day he will walk again so that he can provide for his family.
