Hi welcome back to another exciting episode of knowing more about kenyan celebrities. Today our featured celebrity is Mary Kilobi Atwoli who is a Swahili news anchor and reporter working with the Standard Media Group's KTN Tv. She is also an author.

Mary Kilobi was born on 16 July 1984 in Bungoma County, Western kenya. She is 36 years old as of 2020 and a Luhya by tribe.

About her education, Mary attended Chwele Girls high school in Bungoma county,for her secondary education. She then joined Makerere university in Uganda where she pursued a bachelor of arts degree in kiswahili and literature.

Mary Kilobi later acquired her masters degree in international relations from the university of Nairobi. 

About her career journey, Mary Kilobi began her journalism career at Uganda broadcasting corporation (UBC) where she worked as an anchor, producer, and editor for 4 years.

She then joined kenya television network (KTN) as a reporter. Later, she was promoted to a news anchor where she works to date.

Apart from being a journalist, Mary is a Motivational speaker and an author of the book titled (Jifunze kiswahili) which is sold in Uganda and Congo bookshops.

Mary Kilobi once worked as a data entry person for the now defunct Mumias sugar company. About her marriage Mary Kilobi is married to the longest serving Cotu secretary general and politician Francis Atwoli despite the age difference of more than 30 years between them, the two seem to be very much in love.

Mary has a son called Lloyd whom she gave birth to before getting married to Atwoli. The two got married in 2018 and Mary is the 3rd wife of Atwoli.
