The Duke of Edinburgh is laid to rest today in a ceremony that is attended by few members due to the Covid -19 pandemic. The 99 year old died last week of heart related problems. The ceremony will be lead by the Queen who is expected to pay her last respect to her husband who has been by her side every time. The ceremony which is being held at state walls of Windsor Castle, West London will be watched by an expected TV audience of millions with the public urged to stay away due to the global pandemic.

Prince Philip who is termed as the grandfather of the nation has been the longest serving royal consort since 1952 where they begun their reign. The two have been in marriage for 78 years and he has left a huge void in her life said her second son Prince Andrew.

Other leaders are supposed to pay tribute to the late Prince including the Dean of Windsor David Conner. The ceremony will still feature members of the armed services who associated with the Prince. The Prince coffin will be borne to Windsor's St George's Chapel where he will then taken to rest.
