The Kenyan famous band Sauti Sol has hit the headlines with their friction with the most famous political alliance Azimio la Umoja coalition under the leadership of Raila Odinga. This emerged after the alliance used their famous track Extra Varganca in their running mate announcement function on Monday when they chose Martha Karua.
The band claims that Azimio la Umoja did not have their licence from them to use the song in their rally. According to Bien the song is benefiting the Azimio la Umoja people and them don't warn anything from it. This saw many Kenyans unsubscribe from their channels but the band still stand still on its decision.
My opinion is that the Azimio la Umoja coalition should have ask the band if they can use their song in their function instead of using without their knowledge. They should at least give the band something because the song is their source of income.
