"We're Glad You Enjoyed," Maria Producer, Lulu Hassan Says As The Final Episode Airs Tonight

Maria show which has been airing on Citizen tv every weekday from 7:30pm made it's first debut in October 2019 and 374 episodes later, is making its last curtain call.

The show, which was rated most watched by various poll firms in the country, has seen Citizen tv maintain it's slot as Kenya's top television station and has been countlessly feted at different Film Awards.

Maria has scooped Best Tv drama with Maria(Yasmin Said) winning Best lead Actress in the tv drama category at the Kalasha 2020 Awards and Loulou Hassan winning the Best Producer in the tv drama award during Women in Film Award 2021(WIFA).

The Executive Producer took to her instagram to give a heartfelt message to the fans and appreciate them for their immense support.

"As we make our last curtain call, this journey has been one hell of a journey with you the fans to thank for and for always choosing Maria and staying glued to watch your favourite soap opera. We wanna say thank you and we are glad you enjoyed it, we are glad we made you happy."

The show will be replaced by a new local drama, Zora, which is still produced by Loulou Hassan's company, Jiffy Pictures, beginning Monday 22nd.

Zora will feature renowned Kenyan actresses including Sarah Hassan and Jackie Matubia.
