Saumu Mbuvi is the eldest daughter to former Nairobi County Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko, who is also the father to other two other girls namely Salma Mbuvi and Sandra Sonko.

Following in the footsteps of her father, Saumu Mbuvi is also an aspiring politician and has been rumoured to be eyeing for the Nairobi County Women Representative's seat.

On some occasions she has been seen also hanging out with established politicians like former Kithiani MP Wavinya Ndeti.

Saumu Mbuvi was also dating Lamu Senator Anwar Loitiptip, before the couple decided to call it quits over many reasons among them domestic violence allegations.

Their breakup has been making the headlines for the most part of yesterday and today, after the beauty queen confirmed online that their relationship was over.

The mother of two confirmed the news in a question and answer segment with her fans on her Insta stories where she offered to answer every question that they had, and when asked whether the reports of the breakup were true she concurred.

Aside from the relationship Saumu Mbuvi had also previously dated businessesman-cum-politician Ben Gatu who is also the father of her first born daughter.

However the couple also decided to call it quits in March 2017 after Saumu Mbuvi made claims that he was using her for political benefits.
