Rayvanny will be allowed to ditch Wasafi Classic Baibe (WCB) label only if he affords to fully pay the remainder of his ten years contract.
Reports by Nation show that every artist in Wasafi has been tied to a 10 years contract by law subsequently in case one of them decides to ditch the recording label before the end of their contracts, they are mandated to pay for their release clauses.
Raymond Shaban Mwakyusa, alias Rayvanny is reportedly wanting to quit Wasafi so as to concentrate on growing his newly launched music label dubbed Next Level Music (NLM).
Nation understands that the Number One hitmaker has landed a sponsor for the NLM label who is keen to channel resources to the music label but he does not want to clash with WCB hence Rayvanny has to quit Wasafi first for the sponsorship.
According to the release clause, Rayvanny has to pay Ksh 25 million before he is given rights to own his music and to be lawfully allowed to dith the Diamond Platnumz owned recording label.
''I heard what Mwijaku said but the figure I'm sure about is Sh25 million release clause. For a start Ray was asked to deposit Sh2.5 million before the negotiation can proceed further,'' a former WCB employee told the Nation.
