"Forget It" Artists From Royal Media Service Rejected Ksh 100k Token To Campaign For Kenya Kwanza

Royal media service has organized for campaign rallies to preach peace in the country as well near elections. Different Radio presenters with local artistes are moving from one county to another urge voters to turn up on August 9. Fans of different radio and TV stations stations have gotten the chance to meet with their favorite radio,TV and local artists.

Artists/Musicians supporting Azimio have been holding extremely successful caravans in various parts of Kenya. However, its unfortunate that Deputy president William Ruto has now dispatched his close ally Ferdinand Waitutu to talk to them and convince them to change their campaign strategies and campaign for him.

According to Wahome Thuku who has posted on his official Facebook page, Waititu has been calling them one by one asking in them to meet him at his controversial Delta Hotel in Nairobi at 7am. According to Thuku, the artists were offered a token of ksh. 100k which was to be paid per day per artist to do exactly what they are doing for Azimio to Kenya Kwanza. However, according to report given, the artists rejected the offer. They have said, "forget it".

According to the whatsapp screenshot shared by Thuku, the conversation was clear that Waititu wanted to lure the artists with money to campaign for UDA but they resisted.

"So baba yao has been the role to call and invite artists? Wameogopa after kuona vile tv kuko he is calling our artists from Azimio eti wakutane kesho" they wrote. However, the people Behind the conversation are yet to be identified
