The 2021 edition of the annual Met Gala was held last night at The Metropolitan Museum Of Art In New York after a one year hiatus due to the Covid pandemic. Since it's one of fashion's biggest events, the Met Gala is always an occasion for celebrities to show off their lavish outfits. The ball was co-hosted by famous popstar Billie Eilish and Tennis player Naomi Osaka. We take a look at celebrities who worn the best and worst outfits.
1. Best Dressed.
The co-host of the night did not disappoint. Naomi dawned a colourful Louis Vuitton dress and an elaborate hairstyle, which paid homage to her Haitian and Japanese heritage.
2. Worst Dressed
Leave it to a Kardashian to turn heads wherever they go. Kim's ridiculous outfit wasn't doing her any favours. The all black ensemble, paired with a black mask spawned a series of memes on social media.
3. Best dressed
The young popstar drew comparisons with the late Marilyn Monroe in her brown velvet ensemble.
4. Worst Dressed.
Rihanna and Asap Rocky.
The couple are known to be very bold when picking clothes to wear for various events, often going with oversized ensembles. Last night was however a rare miss for them.
5. Best dressed.
The lanky supermodel sure knows how to turn heads. The minimal Givenchy dress was a fashion statement from her.
6. Worst dressed
The young actor dressed in designer Haider Ackermann's sweatpants and half coat combo and paired it with white high top sneakers.
7. Best dressed.
The supermodel sure deserves to be named the best dressed celebrity of the night.
