The entertainment media giants formed the list which put West African and South African artists at the top. In East Africa, Wasafi Owner Diamond Platnumz was expected to feature alongside the richest big wigs.
However, Diamond failed to find himself in the top twenty of the richest African artists.
Hence, after seeing himself ranked 28th on the list, Diamond alluded to the opinion that Forbes Magazine had not done appropriate research before making the list.
Diamond was listed to be worth 5.1 million dollars on the list, behind the likes of Akothee, who was listed as one of the richest East African artist.
The Wasafi boss labelled the list stupid in his post aimed at the media giants. "Forbes Magazine, next time Google me to know my true worth, before putting me on your stupid richest African musicians list." Diamond said.
