Kibera based rapper Steven Otieno popularly referred to as Stivo Simple Boy recently hit the news headlines big time. Stivo sprang from the humble slums of Kibera to national screens back in 2017 courtesy of his "Mihadarati" hit which was well received by Kenyans.
About a week ago, Simple boy was the talk of the internet for quite some time, this was after the "Ndoa" hit maker took to social media a picture of him together with a white lady who placidly lay on his chest. Simple Boy complemented the photo with a caption depicting his signature slogan; "ndio manake," and next to it placing two scarlet love emojis.
The post was circulated by so many blogs with netizens also commending Simple boy for finally finding love. Led by celebrities such as rapper Khaligraph Jones, Stivo was indeed applauded for his bold move. In recent interviews, the rapper had always revealed that he had not yet met the girl of his dreams, and when the time would be right, he would surely settle.
"Mi nataka dame akona heshima. Dame anajua kenye anafanya, si ule dame wa kelele kelele unaona. Wakelele sipendi." He always stated.
But then, contrary to Netizen's viewpoint, Stivo may not be dating any soon. Just after releasing yet another banger today, it has now been revealed that the white lady whom the rapper flaunted online was just a work partner. The new track dubbed "Mapenzi Ya Pesa" was uploaded earlier today and is promising with regards to YouTube views.
Netizens have since sparked humour over the Simple Boy indecision. Some have comically accused him of joining the game of clout chasing.
"Stivo pia ameanza kutafuta clout." A fan commented.
So far according to statistics, the banger is gaining great intimacy with Kenyans.Who knows? It might trend at number one the next minute.
