Gengetone Group, Sailors Gang Suffers Big Blow As Lexxy Yung Quits Group To Start Singing Gospel

Alexander Ikuro Wanjiku alias Lexxy Yung (pictured below) has made an announcement that he will be quiting gengetone music to begin doing gospel music. This means that he is parting ways with his group, Sailors gang. 

The artist said he is sorry that he has to leave but promised to never let Sailors down wherever he heads to (gospel music). 

Sailors gang is one of the known gengetone groups in the country. The group is made up of five members; Peter alias Miracle boy who is the lead singer of Sailors gang, Shalkido alias African boy, Alexander Ikuro Wanjiku alias Lexxy Yung, Qoqosjuma and Masilver.

The group members of the gengetone group have had a difficult time rising through to their current status. 

The group has released several songs namely: Wamlambez their first song, Wainame, Jesu ni Mwathani their only gospel song, Nyandus, Pekejeng, Wale Mang'aa, Katanisha, Dunda among others.
