Halloween is a holiday or festival which originated from ancient Celtic festival of Samhain. It is celebrated on 31st October. Pope Gregory III designated November first as a time to honor all saints. Evening before it was called All Hallows Eve and later changed to Halloween. It marked the end of summer and welcomed the begging of cold winter. Activities such as trick-or-treating, curving jack-o'-lantern, festive gathering, eating, wearing costumes and lighting bonfires to ward off ghosts.
