By now you have noted the rise of the number of Kenyan girls who have started a YouTube channel, mostly sharing information about their lives, what they do, and how they do it. Here are some of the reasons why they decided to start this journey.
The first reason or rather the main reason is to make some extra coins. With good traffic, google Adsense pays them dollars for each video they upload according to the number of views and the watch-time the videos have gained over time.
Another reason is that most of them are students and have lots of free time, so they opt to have a youtube channel that they can spend their free time on creating content, be productive and be creative.
With a YouTube channel, it pushes them out of their comfort zone and they get to learn something new and skills that will be beneficial to them in the near future.
A YouTube channel gives them the advantage of working from anywhere as long as their have a smartphone, laptop and have access to internet.
