"Msitufungie Kanisa" Tanzanian Born Pastor and Gospel Singer Pleads with President Kenyatta

Pastor and Gospel singer Faustin Munishi has spoken after President Uhuru's new directives to prevent the spread of the Corona virus in Kenya.

 Munishi, a Tanzanian-born who lives and preaches in Nairobi, feels that instead of interrupting worship meetings, the government would consult with preachers and pastors to work together to combat the spread of the Corona virus.

 In his comments on Facebook, the Church has been identified as the first suspect in the spread of the Corona virus, citing rallies and other non-religious rallies and yet potentially triggering the spread of the Corona virus.

 The meetings he mentioned are like in the marketplace and in public transportation.

 He called on the government to reconsider its directives, provide training for preachers and other religious leaders so that they can educate their followers later on how to prevent the spread of Coronavirus

Munishi quoted Bible verses that he said supported his view;

 Hebrews 10:25

 [25] And not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but let us consider one another; and the more you do, the more you see the day approaching.

 1 Timothy 2: 1-4

 [1] I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

 [2] For kings and all that are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all Godliness and honesty.

 [3] This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior;

 [4] who desires all men to be saved, and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

 Pastor Munishi feels that if the advice to protect people from the disease comes from religious leaders, believers will believe it and practice it as they believe the gospel.

 He denied rumors that pastors were hurt by the order to suspend worship services because of the lack of offerings, saying that even if he talked to people online he could still get offerings.

 Munishi, who was speaking live via his Facebook page, congratulated President Uhuru Kenyatta on receiving the Corona vaccine in public and said that many Kenyans would now agree to be vaccinated.

 He concluded with a prayer where he rebuked the Corona virus and ordered it in the name of Jesus to leave, Kenya, East Africa and around the world.
