The heat is already making it difficult for newcomers to compete with the two bigwigs in the contest to succeed President Uhuru in the early August poll (Deputy President William Ruto and ODM CEO Hon Raila Odinga).
Hon. William Ruto, the Deputy President, has lectured the ODM leader, who is also his main opponent in the upcoming elections. Ruto used the stage at an event earlier today to rally support for his Kenya Kwanza Alliance team while also taking potshots at the Azimio group.
"You can fool some people occasionally, but not everyone all of the time." He quoted Bob Marley's lyrics from "Get Up, Stand Up."
Mr. Odinga's promises were out of this world to him, which is why he needed to "send him home" in August.
"It is past time to put an end to the politics of deception and ethnicity. I have an appointment with you." He said.
