Kenyan artists and creatives are now happy have the president's announcement today. The country has been under lockdown in some counties including Nairobi County which is Kenyas capital, making life unbearable more especially to the entertainment space.
The lockdown in these five counties has been lifted by the president and also the curfew hours reviewed from 8pm which for sure was not favourable to many small scale businesses like mama mbogas and the like.
Artists and creatives including comedians led by one of the Kenyas top rapper Kaligraph Jones went to meet the deputy president Dr. William Ruto in his Karen residence to plead with him to push on the unlocking the country.
After today's president announcement most artists have shown their joy of relieve some praising Khaligraph Jones for calling together to express their discomfort about the lockdown.
The five counties which had been locked include Nairobi county, Machakos county, Kiambu county, Nakuru county and Kajiado.
Transport sector more especially the public service vehicles have a thing to smile on because most of the vehicles have been on suspension awaiting lockdown to be lifted.
