The 52-year-old First Lady of Kenya has been running a successful campaign to reduce child maternal mortality rates in the country. Dubbed ‘Beyond Zero Campaign’ the charity cause has seen many contribute millions to help mothers and children. On October 24th, 2014, she was named UN Person of the Year.
2. Lupita Nyong’o
Lupita Nyong’o was truly born a star and in 2013, she became the first Kenyan to win the prestigious Oscar award for her role in the slavery movie, 12 Years A Slave. She has continued to grow in her career and with her latest successful film, Black Panther, it is clear that her future is still bright. Through her we are reminded that everything has its own time and it is in the little things that you do today that your star will shine one day.
3. Eve D'Souza
Eve D'Souza is one of Kenya's most beautiful women who has done so much when it comes to entertainment. She started her career as a radio host at 98.4 Capital FM and gradually developed into a renowned media personality and a clothing ambassador. The star was born and raised in Mombasa, Nairobi, Kenya. Her parents, Andrew and Martina D'Souza raised her and her two siblings, Sharon and Jason D'Souza, in the same city. The radio presenter attended Loreto Convent and Aga Khan High School in Mombasa. She further honed her knowledge in the Catholic University Eastern Africa, Nairobi, where she obtained a Bachelor of Education degree in English and English Literature. She has won CHAT Awards Best Female Radio Presenter three times.
4. Sarah Hassan
Zora is known to be Sarah Hassan and was born on 5th Dec, 1988. She enrolled at New York Film Academy to study Hollywood career which has led to her acting excellence. She started acting in 2009 with Tahidi High being one of her earliest "kipindis". Besides being an actress, Zora (Sarah) is a TV Presenter. She chaired the Maisha Max's reality show as well as the Wedding show at Citizen TV. Many would have wished that Zora(Sarah) was single so they could fire their bullets because of her unresistable beauty. Unfortunately, She is a married lady to a Nigerian, Martin Dale with whom they are blessed with a dazzling son.
5. Julie Gichuru
Julie Gathoni Sumira Gichuru (born 7 January 1974) is a Kenyan Entrepreneur and Media Personality with investments in media, fashion retail and entertainment sectors. She is an Independent Director at Acumen Communication Limited and is a Fellow and trustee of the Africa Leadership Initiative EA.
