"We are disappointed by Azimio la Umoja" - Sautisol after Azimio team used their song Extravaganza

Sautisol, one of the biggest boy bands in Africa are not happy after the Azimio la Umoja team used their song "Extravaganza" as a soundtrack during their official unveiling of Raila Odinga's running mate on the 16th of May, 2022 at Kenyatta International Convention Center (KICC).

In the official statement posted on their social media platforms, the founders and partners of Sautisol and Sautisol Entertainment who are Polycarp Ochieng Otieno, Willis Austin Chimano, Bien Aime Alusa and Savara Delvin Mudigi have expressed how disappointed they are after the Azimio campaign team went ahead to use the song despite them not licensing them to use it and also without their consent which is contrary to Article 4 of the Constitution of Kenya.

The Kenyan boy band went ahead to disassociate themselves from Azimio la Umoja campaigns or any other political movement adding that they are fully apolitical.

The band therefore concluded in the statement that they will take legal action for copyright infringement.

Earlier on, Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK) permitted the Azimio la Umoja flag bearer to play any music during his campaigns after paying a total of Ksh 562,500 to them.
