Marion Obunga, a 33-year-old woman confessed on Twitter about the stressful life she passed through working as a househelp. The middle-aged lady said that she has worked as a househelp for around 7 years, and her experience as a worker has been hectic, according to her, no normal person can endure the kind of toture she went through.
She says that as a househelp, you are forced to stay in a home that does not belong to you and hence you remain to be a slave, the salary is also not appealing and one has no otherwise but to dance to their tune.
Marion recalls when she started her hustle as a househelp back then in 2018, she was working for one of the top Tv personalities in the country, she was denied off days. One fateful day, her boss was at a concert in Westlands and asked her to drop a wig she had forgotten. Marion hurriedly took the item and travelled to where her boss was, the traffic was heavy and the movement of vehicles was sluggish, this made her took long in the roads. On arrival, the boss took the wig, threw it on her face before slapping her and firing her on spot.
On her next job, Marion was working for a couple that could force her and other househelps watch them engage in the act, then force them to clear the mess immediately after they finish, she says that it paid better, but it was so bad to watch such an act going on.
In 2019, Marion worked for a couple that caused national headlines, the wife mysteriously worked with thugs to discipline her cheating husband. She is currently working on a book that highlights her life experience as a househelp and hopes well wishers will intervene and make her story a success and an eye opener too.
