Where did the name Cardi B originated?
As she was growing up, she used to be called Bacardi which she later shortened it to Cardi B. It's also from the fact that her sister's name is Hennessy.
As a teenager, Cardi B worked as a cash register back in Tribeca. When she got fired, she went on and started stripping across the street to New York Dolls. She all lied about this to her parents because no parent can allow their kids to do such thing. She faked all that in the name of baby sitting. It was in the stripping savings that she made it in her rapping career journey. Most people have childhood idols, Cardi B's idol was Madonna.
She released her first song back in 2015, ''Boom Boom'' which she featured Popcaan.
