A renown Tanzania star artist Diamond Platinumz’s quest to compete for the Best International Act prize in the upcoming BET hang in balance. A few days after his nomination, some of his country people have disputed his nomination, and, in an online petition, have called on BET Awards to disqualify him.
His country people have pointed a finger at how he (Diamond) doesn't support local artists as his biggest undoing. They also claim that he overwears lipstick and make up and have no ethical morals.
Some of his fans in kenya have blamed the Tanzanian star Diamond for being a womanizer.
"I am sorry to say this but you are a disgrace to music industry. A man who disrespects a woman especially when he was born of a woman doesn't deserve my votes..." Millicent Akinyi Okello commented through her website.
"Why must I vote for this womanizer with no ethical morals...You took our daughter Tanasha Donna eat her and dumped her with her son and deleted the young kids photos...Ok wabii yie bwana." Ronn R. Onyango added.
However others came to his aid claiming Diamond platinumz has every right to compete in BET award.
"Bet awards is not about creating scandals to gain fame. its all about perfomance and in his category he has three who can beat him flat and three others who cant beat any one of the other four." David Mwamburi tweeted.
