Former Citizen TV business anchor TerryAnne Chebet has started the year on a high note after landing a plum job with one of the top media houses in the content. The seasoned TV journalist took to her Twitter account and announced that she has secured a job as a Senior Correspondent for CBNC Africa.
“I’ve joined Africa’s leading business news channel @cnbcafrica as a Senior Correspondent as well as leading Business Development in Kenya,'' she tweeted.
TerryAnne lost her job at Citizen TV when she was at the top of her career. Speaking in a past interview, the mother of two said her retrenchment from Royal Media Services where she had worked for quite some time came as a surprise to her.
She was sure there is no way she could be retrenched because she was a prime-time business anchor and had managed to amass a huge following. After she was handed the retrenchment letter, she went to her room, locked it, and began crying.
Apparently, she gave birth to her secondborn baby on the day she was retrenched. After leaving Citizen TV, she launched her own TV station dubbed Metropol TV.
She has also been CEO of Keyara Botanics- a company that deals with beauty products. TerryAnne always advocates for multiple revenue streams.
