Meet Jane Makena Uhuru's Step - Sister Who Used To Be An Unbeatable Athlete.

The Kenyatta's family is one of the most well known families in Kenya, being the founders of this country. This great family has a stable position in government, Uhuru Kenyatta being the current president of Kenya and the other brothers and sisters own lucrative businesses as well as power in political fields. It's a big group since Kenyatta had four wives Grace Wahu, Edna Clarke, Grace Wanjiku and Ngina Kenyatta. The only surviving one is Ngina Kenyatta who's among the richest people in Kenya.

Today I want us to look at one of Kenyatta's daughters Jane Makena Wambui. She was born in 1951 to Grace Wanjiku the third wife. Unfortunately her mom passed away during delivery so Wanjiku was brought up by a step mother. The birth of Wambui brings us to a conclusion that Uhuru and Jeff Koinange are related. Simply because Wanjiku was a sister Mbiyu Koinange, so she's aunt to Jeff.

Jane Makena went to Kenya highschool and that's where she focused on being an athlete and finally emerged to be unbeatable in that sector. However, after school Makena didn't make it to represent Kenya in the Olympics as she had planned. She was forced to pull off after getting a terrible injury which made her retire from athletics at a very young age.

She got married to Gecaga who's the current chairman of Lonrho East Africa. They were blessed with three children. Soiya Gecaga, Nana Gecaga ( KICC CEO) and Jomo Gecaga ( Uhuru's personal secretary). Jane's life has been successful despite losing her mom at a very tender age.
