Citizen Tv has been forced to apologize to a gengetone musician VDJ Jones when they made a mistake of using his photo while referring to the deceased Dj Mike Kay. They apologised shortly after VDJ Jones threatened to sue the station.
He said that he is alive and kicking. He further went ahead and said that he will sue the station and Gatete Njoroge who was the reporter. He even told them to confirm their news before they air.
Citizen Tv later reached out to him and apologized saying they unintentionally used his image, which he shared online mourning the death of his friend.
"We inadvertently used the wrong pictures of VDJ Jones in our earlier broadcast at 7pm, while making reference to Dj Mike Kay whose body was retrieved from river Mathoiya ( Murang'a County. We have since established that the two were friends on VDJ Jones post which he had posted while he was mourning him.
