The series of fairy tales is a fairy tale - much more King of the Rings than the Game of Thrones - but also doesn't take them too seriously and wholeheartedly includes all aspects of good storytelling and play, including fun side quizzes, POV battles, and bard following Henry Cavill's titular of a person / creature mixed up around singing songs in his or her splendor.
The first episode of the show follows three stories set to come together: Cavill's Witcher is a recruiting muscle hunter who begins to question why so many princesses have become creatures; Yennefer from Vengerberg (Anya Chalotra) is a powerful psychologist in training who struggles to control her emotions; and Princess Ciri (Freya Allan) escapes after the destruction of her city, but hides her secrets.
