A story of a young lady in her late 20's have been trending on social media platforms especially on the fact that she is married to a man who is aged 60 years old, therefore having an age gap of 32 years.
Shiro Njuguna who hails from Lanet in Nakuru County narrated her story to investigative journalist, Monica Kagoni where she revealed her life history and how she ended up being married by the 60 year old man.
Shiro confirmed that she met her husband at the age of 20 years old, while his man was 52 years old. The whole story started on Facebook when she sent him a friend request since he was a mutual friend to one of her friends. At this time, she had experienced some form of break-up with her boyfriend, and the man played a role in comforting her.
After some time, they started developing some mutual feelings towards each other, a development that degenerated into dating. Later she was blessed with twins, but her man relocated to Germany where he was living. He would however send his help and keep-up for his children though it wasn't easy.
When her husband came to her parents, he was warmly welcomed and accepted, a move that gave Shiro a sigh of relief. The man then pronounced his intentions towards Shiro and her parents.
They have therefore been living as a husband and wife, despite having some critiques from their relatives and friends especially due to their gaping age difference. Shiro confirms that she loves her, and her husband loves her back.
