The Hip-Hop genre has been ripped off its treasured contributors due to fatal bullet wounds which are inflicted onto them during violent robberies.
A few of the notable rappers who have succumbed to death owing to armed robberies are below.
XXXTentacion born Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy was shot and killed on 18, June 2018 during an armed robbery at a local motorcycle dealer shop in his hometown Florida. Though a controversial figure due to his widely publicized legal troubles, XXXTentacion managed to gain a cult following among his young fan base during his short career with his depression and alienation-themed music. He is also the most followed deceased musician on Instagram as well as the most subscribed dead singer on YouTube.
2. Pop Smoke
Pop Smoke (born Bashar Barakah Jackson) was fatally shot and killed on February 19, 2020, during a home invasion in Los Angeles. He was 20 years old when five hooded men broke into the apartment he was renting in Hollywood hills and shot him three times. The four suspects who were charged with the rapper's murder reportedly stole his diamond-studded Rolex watch which they later resold for $2000.
3. Boog The Bandit
Boog The Bandit born Courtney Bruce was an up-and-coming rapper from Columbus, Ohio. She was 26 years old when armed men shot and killed her during an attempted robbery last year. Three assailants were detained by law enforcement officers and charged with her murder.
