"Unacceptable" Popular Tv Station Makes Serious Headline Error About William Ruto

(Photo: Courtesy)

A popular news channel in Kenya has made a Himalayan blunder after a big headline error was committed at their newsroom.

The television channel popularly known as Ktn news mislead hundreds and thousands of Kenyans after giving Deputy President William Ruto a wrong rank. They made a headline that accords William Ruto as the President of Kenya. The rank was faulty as Uhuru Kenyatta is the current President of Kenya.

The headline was out of order and something needs to be done to avoid such mistakes on televisions. Journalists should take adequate time to prepare the headline so as to deliver actual data to people watching their content.A majority of Kenyans expressed their disappointment on how some journalists are not keen on their job. In addition, media houses were blamed for not following proper channels on hiring properly qualified journalists. This has allegedly led to unacceptable circumstances where some journalists present information without proofreading it on media houses.

Journalists should take time to research and analyze the correct turn of events on the names of people and news they present in media houses.
