Celebrated Tanzanian singer Raymond Shaban commonly known by his stage name Ravanny has been arrested.

The singer was arrested after being accused of taking advantage of a schoolgirl by the name of Paula, daughter of Harmonize's new lover, Kajala Masanja.

The Wasafi Classic Baby singer was arrested at around 6 pm Tuesday, and until writing this, he was still in the police custody.

'Tetema' hitmaker was arrested together with actress Hamisa Mobetto, who is Diamond Platnumz's baby mama.

While Rayvanny is being suspected of having slept with the alleged 19-year-old form five student, Hamisa is being accused of introducing her to alcohol.

On Saturday, a video surfaced on social media, showing Rayvanny in a compromising situation with the schoolgirl.

The video sparked mixed reaction on social media, forcing Paula's step-father, Harmonize, to take to Instagram and warn Rayvanny.

According to Harmonize, Rayvanny risks spending 30 years in jails if found guilty.

Rayvanny's management led by MP Hamisi Taletale alias Babu Tale and Sallam SK, have visited the police station

Hamisa's lawyer was also spotted at the offices of the investigations.
