Just hours after popular Kenyan singer Ringtone Apoko announced that he was quiting gospel music, he has now come out clear on the reason that precipitated him to decide so.
Contrary to fans thinking that he is moving to the secular industry because of money, Ringtone has revealed that women are the major cause he has decided go quit the gospel industry.
Apoko said that instead of following the Christ he was preaching, women had chosen to love him instead, making it hard for him to focus.
"I quit gospel music because instead of women following the Christ I preach they end up loving me. That's why I am taking a short break so that these women would focus on Jesus and leave me alone."
He added that his fellow artistes in the gospel sector are now happy because he was a 'threat' to their ambitions and success.
In response to the allegations that he was moving to secular because of money, Apoko said that he had more money to finance the entire secular industry and that's not the reason why he us shifting sides.
