Akothee, a musician, has anguishly described how her Swiss baby daddy kicked her out when she was nine months pregnant.
Five children, born to three separate fathers from three different nations—a Kenyan, a Frenchman, and a Swiss—make up Akothee's family.
Her three daughters, Vesha, Celly Rue, and Prudence, were born to her first husband, Jared Okello; her two sons, Ojwang and Oyoo, were born to a Frenchman and a Swiss lady, respectively.
Akothee stated that while she was about to give birth in Switzerland, where she also had a residence, her Swiss baby daddy booted her out.
"I am not flawless, but I can assure you that I am living a life I never thought was possible. Just keep trying; in 2009, when I was nine months pregnant, I was kicked out of this same Switzerland that I am touring today. My baby's father advised me to return to Africa because he didn't have the resources or family to care for a pregnant lady and wasn't even ready for a wife.
Adding:
I stayed in the cold in Basel SBB during winter time in February specifically because all restaurants were closing and I was nearly left alone. For those in Europe, you know what it feels like at the train stations late hours when trains are shutting down, we the ECHO. My kids always called me to come into Kenya more especially Vesha.
According to Akothee, in order to get permission to fly home, she was compelled to pretend that she was six months pregnant.
"I was compelled to go back at 9 months, and in order for the airline to let me fly back home, I said that I was 6 months pregnant. Frankfurt Airport felt like a prison. I had grown distant from living in Europe by that point, and I just wanted to return home. I come here, do my job, and then return to AFRICAAA, so I have nothing to envy.
Africa, Africa, Africa. Akothee composed.
Akothee is a resilient woman who has overcome a lot to get to where she is now.
