Karwimbo, a comedian who co-hosts drive show 'CuaCua' alongside Njuguna wa Wairimu, said he was saddened by the death of his dad who was the family matriarch but did not immediately disclose the cause of his demise.

"Oooh dad...our father! Rest in Peace. We really loved you but God loved you more. It is not easy...go well," he posted on Facebook.
It has now been revealed that Karwimbo's father, who was not sick, died peacefully on his bed while taking a daytime nap.
According to Kameme FM drive show 'Humuka' co-host Simon Kabue alias Man Saimo, the old man, who the family estimates was between 103 to 107 years, was in jovial mood before going to bed to take a "rest" which he never came out of.

"Due to his advanced age he could rest on his bed after engaging in little activities in his farm. He was not complaining of any pain before going to his bed where he eventually took his last breath," Man Saimo narrated.
While sending his message of condolence, popularly Mugithi artist Davy Kamoko noted they had planned to visit Karwimbo's father on the same day he passed on.
"Im really sorry bro we even pland to go see your dad yesterday (Friday) may he Rest In Peace. Take heart bro," he posted on Facebook.

Karwimbo's colleagues at Inooro FM and other media stations as well as fellow comedians and celebrities in the entertainment industry sent their condolences and prayed for God to give the family strength during this difficult period.
They include Henry Desagu, Jeff Kuria, PK Karitei, Nyoxx wa Katta, Njoki wa Mburu, Muthee Kiengei wa Watoria, Karangu Muraya, Makumbi Pilot, Muthee Ndegenye, Papasi Mufenje among others.
