Kenya continues to battle the COVID-19 pandemic that has wrecked havoc throughout the globe even as the ministry of health under cabinet secretary Mutahi Kagwe report that Kenya is in its third wave of the pandemic.
Today, there is need for kenyans to be alarmed and immediately take precautionary measures very seriously as the ministry of health cabinet secretary Mutahi Kagwe has announced a very huge number of COVID-19 cases.
The CS has announced 1,064 new Covid-19 cases in the country after the latest round of tests. This is after testing just above 5,000 people for the disease, meaning that the positivity rate is very high.
"1,064 people have tested positive to the disease, out of a sample size of 6,151 tested. The total confirmed positive cases are now 115,031. Cumulative tests so far conducted are 1,379,990. 964 are Kenyans while 100 are foreigners," the announcement read.
Kenyans continue to be urged to take the containment measures more seriously as the cases continue taking an upward trajectory. This latest figures calls for alarm and more responsibility among the population to continue observing the ministry's Covid-19 messages.
