Today 17 April, will go to history as the day Queen Elizabeth and the entire United Kingdom bids final farewell to His Royal Highness, Duke of Edinburgh Prince Philip, a Nation figure, husband and a loving father to every child that he inspired.

Prince Philip was born in Greece and happened to be brought up in England where at some point in time found love with this amazing girl child from the royal family.

He happened to participate in the Navy and when his official relationship with the then Princess Elizabeth came to bore fruits, he was asked to abandon the navy and the title he had acquired while in the navy and to accept the royal duties.

When King George died, Elizabeth was to assume the mantle and during that time, Philip presence was needed more than ever as he will act as a supporting figure to the mourning Queen.

Now the Duke of Edinburgh has passed on and its time for Queen Elizabeth to pay her formal last respects.

Covid 19 has forced United Kingdom not to participate fully in the funeral. This is as a result of new variant in United Kingdom which spreads so fast therefore people from the public have been kindly asked to pay their respects while at their homes.
