Thursday the 11th of January was indeed a sad day for celebrated Kenyan actress Catherine Kamau Karanja alias Kate Actress.
This is because she and her family finally laid her demised aunt by the moniker of Miriam Wairimu Kariuki alias Miranda to rest.
Taking to her Instagram account, the award-winning former Selina series actress shared with her fans photos of how the burial ceremony went down.
Accounting to the photos and the short video clip that she posted, it was clear that the late aunt had a fancy white casket for her burial.
Like many other people out there who usually attend burial ceremonies, Kate Actress wore a black dress and also had a black coat to complete the outfit.
The event was also graced by many people who joined the actress and her family in mourning. These people were given tents to sit in.
Kate Actress' close friend and plus size business mogul Neomi Nganga also graced the event, and she also wore a black outfit as shown below.
Here is the link of the burial video.
In another post, Kate Actress hinted that it was Bishop Harrison Ng'ang'a, the founder of Christian Foundation Fellowship Ministry who officiated the event.
This is after she appreciated him warmly for being by their side during this difficult time of mourning.
"Thank you man of God, what an honor. Thank you for walking with us on this journey. I am in awe if the God you serve, my faith is renewed @bishop_harrison_nganga" she wrote.
For those who may not know, Kate Actress disclosed to her fans in early January that she had unfortunately lost her aunt Miriam Wairimu Kariuki, who was like a second mother to her.
The late aunt is unfortunately the same one who was in dire need of blood donation, because she was terminally ill.
It can be remembered that the voluptuous actress made an appeal to her fans for blood donation few week ago, after she was hospitalized at the Kenyatta University Referral Hospital.
