Veteran KBC Kiswahili news presenter Badi Muhsin is dead

Veteran KBC Kiswahili news presenter Badi Muhsin has is dead.

The family said he passed on after a short illness.

He was 67 years old.

The veteran broadcaster was working with the national broadcaster KBC television.

He was a Swahili news anchor.

Muhsin started his career at a young age and did a number of interviews.

Until his demise, Muhsin was on a duty at the coast.

According to KBC, Muhsin had traveled to Mombasa to interview Alice Tabu for Dira ya Magwiji the Swahili news segment he hosts on weekends.

Journalists across the country and abroad as well as leaders in the country have eulogised him as a dedicated person who valued his job.His brother Hafidh told the government-owned media house that the broadcaster retired to his room after they both shared a meal in the afternoon but he never woke up.

KBC Managing Director Dr Naim Bilal said learnt about Muhsin’s death with shock and disbelief.

Muhsin's body will be transported to Nairobi tonight ahead of Saturday's burial at Kariokor.
