The Migori governor Okoth Obado has mainly featured on the public radar on the wrong side of the law. Not until recently when he featured in a new gospel song by the Rapogi Lwanda Seventh Day Adventist Church dubbed 'Pak Odogne Yesu' to mean praise be to God. The controversial politician who seems to have mustered the 48 rules of power was the main center of attraction as they praised God in their song.
The governor who was in high sprites seems not to have been bowed down by the many challenges he his facing including the court cases. He was part of the men's choir who sang the alto voices. He was dressed in clothes that were purely white and would smile wherever the cameras rolled on him.
Obado who is serving his final term as a governor is a darling to most residence of Migori where he is commonly referred to as sirkal by the locals in that area. Many people were also amused by his prowess in singing with others asking if really it was Obado or Obadiah who had featured on the gospel song. We wish the governor all the best in his new role in the church come calling to praise the most high God.
