Kenyans have given mixed reactions following the decamping of Atwoli's estranged wife to DP Ruto's UDA party. Ms. Roselinda confirmed that she has decamped to Ruto's party. This move did not go down well with Kenyans with many blaming the DP for breaking families. In a video recording on his Youtube channel, Mr. Odingo observed that the move was reckless, unnecessary, and in bad taste.
"Even though the two parted ways sometime back, they are yet to formalize their divorce." He said.
It is not clear what DP Ruto intended to achieve by bringing Ms. Roselinda on board. However, most analysts agree that the main aim would be to embarrass the COTU boss.
A while back, DP Ruto was hosted by Peris Tobiko at her official residence sparking outrage from her husband. He categorically described the incident as trespass claimed that he had not been briefed about the meeting. It will be interesting to see how the political landscape will be shaped by this occurrence.
