The Radio Jambo breakfast show host has been disappointed following the cancelation of his dream trip to France to celebrate his daughter's birthday. The party invitee, his daughter had invited fourteen of her classmates with her parents and friends. It is unfortunate for her as the best part of her happiness won't be around thanks to cancelation of the flight.
"Today our daughter Princess Marie-Rose turns 5. As I write this, she is expecting me in France to celebrate with her. She has an elaborate birthday party planned for tomorrow where she has invited 14 of her classmates with their parents and friends," noted Gid from lengthy Instagram post.
According to Tuko news, the Radio presenter had made sure everything was fine before booking the Flight. All the covid doctrines and regulations were in place. He had a valid visa and taken Covid-19 test which turned out to be negative. Gid confined to Tuko that the airline had checked his luggage and issued him a boarding pass only to hit hard in the long run.
At the boarding gate the Radio Jambo presenter, was told to present clearance form from French Embassy because his three year visa was issued before the world got hit by the pandemic.
The French embassy contacted Gid and clarified that tourists with visit visas are currently not permitted, and the airline agreed to refund his ticket fee without penalty.
