Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi is a worried man. This is after a judge ordered that his case proceed for six days consecutively without interruption. The vocal member of member of parliament is accused of faking academic certificates so that he could vie for MP. Should he be found guilty, he will automatically lose his position as a member of national assembly.
While giving the orders, Magistrate Felix Kombo said that he was dismayed that the case had dragged since 2016. The stalling of the case meant that Sudi was able to vie again in 2017 despite have nine counts of forgery levelled against him.
Oscar Sudi told the court that his lawyer Thomas Ruto was unable to attend the hearing. Kombo said that the case will not be postponed any further and that it will continue as scheduled whether Sudi avails his lawyer or not. Already Director of Public Prosecutions has lined two witnesses who will testify against Sudi.
