Many people have a perception that education is the only key to success. Most parents discourage their children from engaging in co curricular activities because they think they will be distracted from studying.
Ofweneke is a Kenyan comedian who was once pursuing law. He dropped out of college and concentrated on comedy.
He said on air while hosting the show 'Thursday Night With Ofweneke', "I have hit 10 years as a law school dropout and a comedian."
He uses Nigerian accent while performing and that tricked people into thinking that he is Nigerian. He is a Luhya man from Western Kenya.
Apart from comedy, he is an MC, actor, songwriter, and a motivational speaker. He is also the CEO of the Ofufu Media which deals with event organising, branding and artist management.
Dr Ofweneke's success should be a lesson to parents and guardians that they should nurture their children's talents as they encourage them to work hard at school.
