To start with, Alex Mathenge is not a police officer. Rather, he is a ‘bolice’ officer. On an interview with Jalang’o, he came clean on who he actually is. For those who do not know him, Alex Mathenge is a character that has featured in the most number of videos in Kenya. He plays the role of a police. For example, he has done uncountable collabos with Desagu, Eddie Butita, Mammito Eunice and recently, he helped Ringtone seek clout for his recent song, ‘backslide’.
Alex mathenge was born and bred in Kirinyaga. He attended Kerugoya boys High School and later joined Kenyatta University to pursue Education. While there he joined the Kenyatta University theatre and realized his interest was majorly in acting. That’s when he started auditioning with Kenya Corner and Churchill live. Immediately after graduating, he worked with Q FM, behind the scenes where he dealt with sound ad production. He was later fired and joined radio citizen and later Radio Maisha. For all the stations, he has always been behind the scenes.
Today, Alex is a content creator and as one, he runs a YouTube channel called Alex Mathenge. He is also married and has two children. Alongside that, he runs a production and advertisement company. His advice to all upcoming content creators is to allow themselves to start small, be consistent and to remain smart. The one thing that Alex cannot leave his house without is his phone.
