Former Tahidi High actor Dennis Mugo, popularly known as OJ, says he sank into depression after he discovered he had squandered all the money he made from the show by drinking alcohol. OJ explained that he is a perfect example of the Swahili proverb of 'Asiyefunzwa na mamaye ...." He has been trying to quit the habit of drinking and now he is celebrating two months of being sober after a three-year struggle to quit alcohol.
“I am two months sober. It was a process and I had to go through it the hard way in terms of losing so much that I had already achieved,” he explained.
Sometimes things don't go our way and we tend to be more anxious than cautious hence making the wrong turns that turn is into addicts. Seeking for help sometimes is advisable especially when it comes to money matters. As for Dennis Mugo we can only pray and wish him well in his journey of reformation.
